Meetings are held every 1st Wednesday in the month at 7.30 p.m in the Village Hall except January and February at 2.30 p.m and August when there is no meeting. The meetings have many varied speakers, last year ranging from Wildlife, Local Interest to Flower arranging. Please see our programme for the coming year. During the meetings we have time to socialise over a cup of tea and cake. Apart from the meetings we have other activities – outings to local places of interest and a monthly walk. In July we hold a Flower Show for our members and also have a Garden meeting. There is a Meal at Christmas and also a special meeting when we invite members from other WIs. We hold a Pancake Morning in the Spring and organise a Halloween Fun Morning for children and their parents. For more information contact
or just come along to a meeting and see what we are like. Membership is open to women over the age of 16 years. If you decide to join there is an annual subscription but your first 2 visits will be free of charge.
Whilst everyone involved is aware of the cancellation of Pop In, WI meetings, Parish council etc., the Committees of the Winterborne Kingston W.I. and the Village Show have decided that regrettably there will be no Plant Sale, WI Flower Show or Village Show this year. Hopefully these events will take place again next year, 2021, at a similar time. When gatherings of larger numbers are permitted, any meetings, events etc. will be published in advance on posters, social media and the Red Post magazine, until then the Village Hall will remain closed.
